For example, if the par value is -3, this means the player summoned a total of objects 3 less than the Par, which results in a base score of 160. This value is multiplied by 20 and subtracted from 100 (or added, if the par value is negative). Par: The par value shown at the end of the level is the total number of objects summoned in the level, minus the level's Par.There are 3 contributors to the amount rewarded: Ollars are awarded upon beating any level not in University (world 0, the tutorial world). The total amount of Ollars needed to buy all avatars and songs in the Ollar Store is 44,100 Ø, a number that likely references the 44,100 Hz sample rate on audio CDs. There are two Merits tied to Ollars in the original Scribblenauts: Miser, which is earned when the player reaches 300,000 Ø upon beating a level, and Pi, which is earned by getting 314 Ø exactly from beating a level (although in the first release it was tied solely to style Ollars and thus unobtainable).
Ollars are used to purchase avatars and songs in the Ollar Store. It has the same properties as other monetary or valuable objects. When summoned from the notepad, "Ollar"/"Ollars" is a synonym for Money (a green banknote which has the Ollar sign displayed on it). The Ollar sign is Ø, in similar fashion to the dollar sign being the initial letter with a stroke through it. Any time Maxwell obtains a Starite, the player's performance within that level is evaluated and converted into Ollars. In essence, they are the total number of points earned during play.
